Born in Lititz, she was the daughter of the late David G. and Nettie Mohler Habecker. Married in 1934, she shared 41 years of marriage with the late Dr. A.H. Heisey.
A 1932 graduate of Lititz High School, she took technician’s training at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Lancaster, which prepared her to work as the office nurse and medical assistant with her husband in his Quentin office for 35 years.
Despite a hectic life in the office and raising her four sons, she liked hosting dinners for family and friends, and going on annual vacations to Florida and Canada. She enjoyed having Dobermans, knitting and crocheting, and was especially happy when her boys and their families would visit.
She was a member of the Cornwall United Methodist Church, Good Samaritan Hospital Women’s Auxiliary, Order of the Eastern Star Lebanon Chapter, Lebanon White Shrine #56, Amaranth of Lebanon Court #131, Lebanon Historical Society and Women’s Club of Lebanon.
She is survived by four sons: Dr. Robert, husband of Judith, Osprey, Fla.; Richard, husband of Marilyn, Lititz; Dr. Ronald, husband of Marian, Friendswood, Texas; Rick, husband of Pauline, Quentin; 13 grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by one grandchild and one great-grandchild.
Family and friends are invited to the Cornwall United Methodist Church, Route 419 & Alden Street, Cornwall, Feb. 7 for a viewing from 9 to 11 a.m, with an Eastern Star Service at 11 a.m., followed by the Funeral Service. Interment will be in the Bismark Cemetery, Quentin.
