Born in Durbin, W.V., he was the son of the late Silas and Susie Hevener Davidson. He was preceded in death by his wife, Arlene Kreider Davidson, in 2005.
A member of the U.S. Army Air Corps, he served in Africa and Italy during WWII. Following his years in the military, he worked as a manager and mechanic for Berman Leasing until his retirement in 1986, and for many years was an active volunteer for Meals on Wheels.
He was a member of the Lititz Church of the Brethren and the Rose of Sharon Sunday School Class. An avid Phillies and Penn State Football fan, he also enjoyed gardening and working on cars.
He is survived by his daughters: Vicki, wife of Michael McGinnis, Lititz; Bonnie, wife of Wayne Frey, Lititz; Kathy, wife of David Dinkel, Lititz; son: David of Lititz; six grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. In addition to his wife, he is preceded in death by a great-grandson; his sisters: Mary and Lucille Davidson and brothers: Roy, Earl and Herman Davidson.
Family and friends are invited on Feb. 19 from 7 to 8 p.m. for a viewing at the Richard H. Heisey Funeral Home, 216 S. Broad St., Lititz, and Feb. 20 from 10 to 11 a.m. at the Lititz Church of the Brethren, 300 W. Orange St., Lititz, with the Reverend Stephen R. Hess officiating the Funeral Service at 11 a.m. Interment with Military Honors by the Red Rose Honor Guard will be in Longenecker Brethren Cemetery.
