LeRoy served as a Combat Engineer in the U.S. Army during WWII, and later retired from Conrail as an Inspection Foreman.
He was a lifelong member of American Legion Garden Spot Post 56, Lititz Springs VFW Post 1463 and the NRA.
He is survived by a brother: Raymond, husband of Hazel, Mt. Airy and a number of nieces and nephews. In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by brothers: Earl, Harold and Robert Buchter; and a sister: Dora Buchter.
Family and Friends are respectfully invited to attend his funeral service at the Richard H. Heisey Funeral Home, 216 S. Broad St., Lititz, Feb. 27 at 11 a.m. with the Reverend David Klepper officiating. There will be a viewing one hour prior to the service and interment will be in the Longenecker Brethren Cemetery with Military Honors rendered by the Red Rose Veterans Honor Guard.
